1) The statement of the Accounts of the Carmel Mela 2009 is displayed on the notice board. The amount secured is Rs 12,74,753.00. This is an increase of Rs 2,90,484.00 i.e. nearly three lakhs as compared to the amount secured last year. It is heartening to note that there is an increase in the profit of the Carmel Mela in spite of the recession. The Parish Father’s Team thanks the Carmel Mela Committee for their diligent and dedicated services and also thanks those who collaborated with them

After consulting the Parish Fathers’ Team and the Parish Finance Committee it has been decided to utilize the profits of the Carmel Mela in the following manner (announcer say ‘a’, ‘b‘, ‘c’, etc)

a. donations for the building of new churches at Panvel, Goregaon (East) Bhayander (East) and other places: Rs 5,00,000.00 (Rupees five lakhs)

b. for the poor through the Society of St Vincent de Paul of our parish: Rs 2,00,000.00 (Rupees two lakhs)

c. subsidy for the running of our night school: Rs 2,00,000.00 (Rupees two lakhs)

d. for poor children through the Carmel Children’s Fund: Rs 1.00,000.00 (Rupees one lakh)

e. for the maintenance of the church premises and the Centenary Celebrations of St Aloysius High School : Rs. 2,74,753.00 (Rupees two lakhs seventy four seven hundred fifty three)

2) The heads of Parish Associations and those who wish to book the First Death anniversary Masses during the year 2010, should contact the Parish Office between the 16th and 19th December.

3) The Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are requested to enlist their names in the sacristy for the distribution of Holy Communion on the following days: Christmas Night, Christmas Day. Mew Year eve and New Year’s Day.

4) Candenza Kantori presents the 6th annual festival of Sacred Choral Music. The details are displayed on the banner.

5) The Mumbai Youth Festival will be held on the 13th December at Don Bosco Grounds, Matunga. Passes priced at Rs 20/- are available with Fr Warner. Please see the notice board for details.

6) A concert of Carols by the Paranjoti Academy Chorus will be held on Tuesday, 15th Dec at St Peter Church from 8 to 9 p.m. There is no charge.

7) The Senior Citizens are organizing a Christmas Social on the 27th Dec from 11.00 am to 2.00 p.m. inclusive of lunch. Tickets priced at Rs 125/- are available from Monday in the parish office and with the SCC Animators.

8) The SCC Animators are requested to collect an urgent letter from the sacristy.

9) The youth of our parish will be organizing a Christmas Social on the 30th Dec from 8.00 p.m. onwards. This social will be inclusive of dinner. Passes are available with Fr Warner and at the parish office.

10) We thank you for your contributions at the Masses on Saturday evening and on Sunday which amounted to Rs 41,420.00and for the Box collection for November which amounted to Rs 33,125.00 both these collections are for the Mt Carmel Church Trust.
