"Pretty Perfect" is an album
that took me 365 days to Write, Record, Produce and Release. You will
discover a huge contrast in terms of music from what I had been doing
for the past 10 years with my band Dementra as compared to what you
will hear on this album today. As a musician there were way too many
influences from so many genres, that it was not possible to experiment
with too many genres of music, it just doesn't fit into the theme frame.
EMA Award Winners - Dementra parted ways after 10 long years and that
led to me into experimenting with many more genres of music that I
had left untouched for a while. Being a part of a big experience like
Dementra, and enjoying the success that followed was more than an musical
experience & journey. But every artist has their own story to tell,
their own emotions and feelings to vent out and that for me could only
be done best in and with a solo effort, which was personal to the core.
They say that there is no need for an artist to discuss his music,
but I think it is only fair that people know & understand what
they are listening to, relating to the music is more meaningful at
this level when understood from the viewpoint of the artist.
"Pretty Perfect" is an album relating to personal past experiences.
It's deep music which relates to human emotion , expression & relationships.
We are created Perfect in the eyes of God, it's human behaviour that
has given the word "pretty" an ugly appearance. 8 deep hitting
songs with 8 official video's, that will sure set you thinking. I can
best describe the music on this album as acoustica meets electronica
greets the industrial pop in a melodic rock manner – that’s
what this album is all about. It's not metal, It's not hard heavy rock
- it's just a pure melodic outburst across different genres of music.
"Pretty Perfect" is a non-commercial music album released
by Green Ozone in India, and the videos have officially been launched
by MSS Vision (USA) throughout the world . It was very important for
me to work with people I could trust, as far as my music was concerned.
Being a debut release, and alot of energy, money and effort being put
into this album, I wanted to make sure it benefits the people listening
to it in some form or the other. I have never considered music to be
a profession, but it will forever be a passion. Music is something
special to me, putting it to the right use is what I intended to do
with it. There was a great demand for the music on a demo disc in the
European & US markets where I circulated it - getting signed onto
a video label was not difficult, getting signed to label that understood
and supported what I wanted to do with my music was most important
to me. MSS Vision supported me a 100 % and signed me on, without hesitation.
This album has been worked very hard upon this past year afterwork
hours and the end result is what you see & hear today...piracy
can destroy all that effort in a single download. Once you think about
the money, the music loses it's meaning.

Me
Ever wondered why a person you assumed loved you, would do the
unthinkable and stab you in the heart, after everything you’ve been through, together & then
react as if nothing ever happened. Sometimes we are left with nothing but a
question mark directed towards oneself as to Why people turn into total strangers
and do the things they do. “Ask Me”is a song I wrote based on this
experience, it’s not how much love, or how much you give or how much
money you spend on someone, the saddest part is the time you have wasted, that
will never come back….this song puts forth that unanswered question.
Who
Am I ?
A question we often ask ourselves in this big bad world, Self realization
after Repentance, In the rat race called humanity, we find ourselves
being displayed
as another face in the crowd, This Industrial layered song revolves around
a self realized identity. Who am I ? –a quick deep industrial mix exhibiting
my industrial meets electronica musical influences, the first industrial pop
track I ever wrote.
Judith
Someone from the present past I cannot forget. Your first Love is something
your memory can’t erase simply because it was something so genuine
and true. Judith is a song I wrote about my first love, after we went our
own ways. But in the silence of my heart, there was always a voice coaxing
me to go back to the way things started out with her. After being
apart for a long time, I finally met her and it truly felt like the moment
I had been waiting for. You want to ask her for a second chance, speak your
heart but in silent speech she looks the other way, probably happy with the
love of someone else. Sometimes I wish and think of how things could have
been if she only knew, that’s what this song is all about.
In
Your Heart
One Sunday afternoon, my brother (Kevin D’Souza -
Ex-Dementra) & I were sitting in our bedroom just talking about old times.
Dementra was done with, so the four of us were still accepting the fact that
the journey we traveled together for 10 long years was over. We’ve always
had so many other influences from different genres of music that we could not
do justice to, when in the band, simply because it didn’t fit what
we defined doing so well for so long. One of these genres was a love for Electronic
Pop. Kevin plugged in his keyboard and was busy playing some tunes for an hour,
when all of a sudden one such tune hit my head. I told him to rearrange it,
we put in a new electronica feel to it and that song turned out
to be the song I am writing about today. “In Your Heart”–a
song with deep hitting lyrics which speak about hope, faith & a new tomorrow.
This heart-felt song instantly became one of the fastest downloaded tracks
on the internet of which, all proceeds received went on to benefit the “Make
A Wish Foundation”, an organization dedicated to granting the wishes
of terminally ill children all around the world.
Don't
Run Away from You
When hurt is all you feel and memories stain, you often avoid certain
things because they bring back those certain memories you choose
not to re-live. Most
of the time we forget that Reasons are not answers that can question the heart,
and we take off in search of something, when there will always be something
you are carrying along with you no matter where you run off to. We think we
are running away from the things we fear the most, but what we actually do
is run away from ourselves & the ones who love us the most –this
is what the song narrates.
You
Are Who You Are
We often want to be something we’re not, we know we can’t be that
whoever we want to be, but what we really don’t know is who we are. We
often tend to forget who were are and where we come from, We ignore or try
to hide it….but the fact of the matter remains in life people are going
to see you for who you really are. A melodic rock ballad I wrote a few months
ago, speaks about being who you are, which is perfect the way God made you.
Why let something fake turn you into something you are really not. This song
also features as one of the songs from artists across the globe supporting
the world organization “Peace Not War”and their endeavors for world
peace.
Heart
Break Her
A song about heartbreak, but the only difference is, it has no words, just
wild and crazy guitar riffs with a heavy bass groove. Once again an instrumental
layered with an industrial grind. The name says it all, Heart-core and fast
break beats transforms this song into a fast track industrial ballad that all
industrial rock fans can celebrate and listen to after a heartbreak or after
getting ditched by someone who is not worth your tears.
With
"With" is a four letter word that we mostly cannot do without, See “with”follows
you in every aspect of form. We are always with someone, be it God, a friend,
a family member or a pet or We are with something like a book, mobile or pen.
Sometimes you are all alone, but then again if you look at it in another way,
You are "with" no one . Content, Contradictive Conjunctions & the
Continuances that are attached to the word “With”is what one will
relate to, in this song.
